These tortilla chips, which are rapidly gaining popularity, now bear the Non-GMO Project Verified Seal. This seal lets consumers know Paqui Tortilla Chips have met the Non-GMO Project Standard to avoid genetically modified organisms (GMO). With corn being a major risk to GMO’s the Non-GMO Project Verified seal makes Paqui Tortilla Chips a trusted choice on the chip aisle.
The Non-GMO Project is a non-profit organization committed to preserving and building sources of Non-GMO products, educating consumers, and providing verified non-GMO choices. The Non-GMO Project offers North America’s ONLY third-party verification for products produced according to rigorous best practices for GMO avoidance. The organization’s Standard requires that every single batch of major risk ingredients used in a Verified product (example those derived from corn, soy, etc.) is tested before use and be below their action threshold of 0.9%.
